Mucocilary function trial about to begin

Submitted on Fri, 2016-10-21 20:03

Dr Robinson has a continuing interest in research in FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery) and is very happy to announce that he is about to begin a research trial into cilary function in the nose. Cilia in the nose work together to move particles of matter from the front of the nose to the back of the nose. These cilia can become damaged in certain circumstances. Dr Robinson is beginning a trial looking at how these cilia could be encouraged to return to normal function and potential interventions to decrease the morbidity of cilia which have stopped working.
